Beautiful waters and views

Camped at Willow Beach Campground and launched here to paddle 2.5 miles upriver to Emerald Cave. The cave itself was underwhelming, but the views were beautiful, and the water is emerald green in the sunlight.

Have not paddled here yet, but have visited many times

Silverwood Lake is a California State Park, entry fees apply, although you can get a free entry pass from some public libraries. No launch fees, and you can launch from any beach, the dock, or the concrete boat ramp. Silverwood is always windy, slightly better in the early morning, not recommended for beginners. There can also be a lot of motorboat activity on the lake. I love to visit the beach, swim, picnic, have even hosted a birthday party here, but I don't have enough paddleboarding experience to launch here.
